Subject: New Business in Lafayette SQ!

Hello all,

There is a building in great location in Lafayette Sq. It is located across from Lafayette Park and directly across from the Park House.

My husband and I bought it and are very excited to bring it back to life! It is from the 1920's and we have a great vision for it.

It will be an Antique store, Gallery and Cafe. The food and coffee will be the amazing and there will be many unique touches that will make it great for romantic dates as well as family/child friendly during the day. I have taken elements from traveling and living in other countries and will incorporate the best here! The kids will Love it! Just a sneak peak: 'smore making outdoors, toy sailboats to use across the street in the lake which is in Lafayette park and much more.....

We just found out that we were selected to be on a TV show. It is on DIY and HGTV networks. They selected us and our café/boutique called: Rue Lafayette.

They are coming out to film us Feb. 5-9, at the end of the shoot they asked us to invite our friends to come see the progress and be a part of the show!

PLEASE look at our website for details! We would love for you to come celebrate and be on TV, it will be unforgettable to have all of you there!

We will be filmed for 4 days, keep in mind we have NO SKILLS so it should make for very fun TV!

Please go to our website and go to “Guest Book” put in your info. and a brief note that you are interesting in attending the TV shoot and I will send an Email with the exact time and any date changes that may occur.

We are so excited and we hope to see you there!!!

*Pls. keep in mind that the building will not be completely done on Feb. 9th, the big reveal is just

to show what the four of us accomplished for the TV episode. The building is being rehabbed

completely and the actual business opening will be around April. At that point will have a

super fabulous bash with the best food, wine and coffee you have ever had and you are all

invited to that too…. Feel free to forward this Email to neighborhood Email lists! THANK YOU!

I am excited about more coffee shop/unique local businesses in Lafayette Square. Can't wait for the opening!

(On another note: Mods, can we move this topic to Retail? I use the retail forum to keep up with what new businesses have opened/are opening when I return to STL.)

Done! 8)

This looks like it's going to be a great place! If it's kid-friendly in the daytime and romantic at nighttime, my wife and I may have a new favorite place! And we sure wouldn't mind one more excuse to spend time in Lafayette Square- we love it there!
