walking around the loft district last night with a friend*, i noticed that the washington avenue post had opened. i think the address is 1310 washington. it's right next to flannery's, garment row lofts, etc. i stopped in this morning to take a look and grab a slice of coffee cake. it's very cool inside. way tall ceilings, wood tables, art on the walls. it's narrow, but long and roomy. it's open from 7 to 7. the staff member i talked w/ was very friendly and excited about the opening (and, in his words, developing a client base). he gave me a 2 for 1 coupon to encourage another drop-by. the post also has copy and shipping services, but i didn't learn much about those.



stop on by and grab some coffee, a new york times, whatever. with breve closed by the time i get off work, it will be great to have a coffee shop to stop in during the evenings.



* last night, the bars were hopping for the game. the new deck attached to lucas park was packed (w/ outside tv), as was the inside. people everywhere. my friend and i walked down to kitchen k, which was also packed. flannery's, no chance of a seat. great to see.
