According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Monsok So is expected to close on the five-story Cutlery Building at 612 North Second Street in January 2006. The 145-year-old, 40,000-square-foot building is currently occupied by the St. Louis Daily Record and Gateway Pension Services Ltd. Both will have to relocate as the floors are converted into residential space. Plans are to turn the ground floor into a Drunken Fish restaurant while renovating the upper floors into lofts, with an expected monthly rental rate of $2,000.
