Southwest ceased flights from STL nonstop to Birmingham in 2015. They also, at thatsame time, cut nonstop Birmingham to Dallas. SWA said that overall O&D in Birmingham was not warranting the flight schedules. I would like to see this service reinstated.
KSDK - Can't find anything on that.
This may have been posted sometime here - but this is an expansion plan for STL and their model ideas from 2015/2017 reports.

But wait... Channel 5 hasn't covered that.

It obviously is reopening due to the trolley coming.
I know a lot of people here talk about how landslide space is skinny in STL T2. Just flew in on a late 2am arrival flight from Las Vegas and Concourse C and B there are skinnier than skinny and jammed packed. Low ceilings and unattractive. Many airports are like that. T2 has tall ceilings even in th...
Not quite. The top four airlines announced their annual passenger numbers keep rising nationwide and are projecting growth ans space needs at KC. SWA's KC rep said that they would be interested in more gates. Surely. SWA has not committed, nor any of the other airlines in KC have to any new gates. I...
Ok slow down the rodeo here. Lambertand SWA don't have a "situation" or "problem" going on at all. Where some of these comments come from is just beyond me. Terminal 2 and Councourse E is serving SWA perfectly right now. The additional gates in the new reuse concourse area are sufficient now and any...

But I see this same united 737 800. Strange huh. Must be something with Brewers or corporate.
Its 11:01 PM and just got home from Hamilton (the musical) and just got done walking the dog in Downtown STL. JAL this is exactly why your comments on these boards are so jacked up and ridiculous. You don't even live in STL (as you have told us) or experience this city on a regular basis and you pos...
I fly MKE (Milwaukee) to STL on Sunday evenings and sometimes I see this United nonstop flight from MKE to STL. Anyone know what this flight is. United doesn't normally fly nonstop MKE to

A little more about the RL / Red Lion brand. They bought Vantage corporation a few years ago to expand their profile. That being said, FYI. Vantage was a company with crap hotels in their fold.... St. Louis City Center Hotel to become Hotel RL http://www.stltoday.com/business/local/ ... 9ae09.html don't know anything about that brand but this looks like it could be neat... However , none of those reports are on the major television news as feature reports as the loop gets all the time.
In addition, none of those say Creve Coeur and Chesterfield are "taking a hit", "downturn", "another is closing", "failing" to name just a few words described in the tv loop "news".

I'm hoping these 2 cranes alone will be trend setters for downtown
With the 300 Broadway Tower - it seems to be. I like the fact that we are building a tall residential tower outside of BPV already.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to play into this "woah to the loop" crap the media tends to report every 6 months every time a store or restaurant closes. Why aren't they reporting the closings along Olive in Creve Coeur or Chesterfield Mall or Chesterfield outlets or Clayton closings? The loop has ha...
I hope the steel & aluminum tariffs don't throw a wrench in these plans
I seriously doubt that. It would be a national down turn and that is not going to happen.
So proud of my friend Chris Bauer for doing the photography for Vogue for this layout.

Upsetting for another Fortune 500 buyout, but this isn't unique to STL or any city in the USA. Omaha lost their only Fortune 500 this last year and for a city so centered around one company... that's tough. The healthcare / pharmaceutical industry is all over the place right now and everyone is vuln...
Flying yesterday to LAX, tails and more tails in Terminal 2.

Not comparing the KC streetcar to Metrolink in terms of mass transit devices, only the surrounding development that it spurred. I think you'll run into a lot of opinions that respectively disagree that Metrolink is a runaway success or hailed as one of the best in the US. A lot of its problems aren...
I read a lot of negative press on her and her push of the current transit plan. Too expensive, too long to construct, yadda yadda. I applaud her on pushing this aggressive proposal, but it may backfire.
KC's is starting to look a whole lot like an outlier. KC's streetcar started out purely as a novelty and KC residents ate it up and they've done a good job capitalizing on it in the form of development throughout the Crossroads area that connects Crown Center to downtown. Kind of the opposite of St...
We are losing STL-PDX on AS for the summer Yes. They were flying this route prior to SWA. They were using regional jets and are very limited on the aircraft they are using through the regionals. They have serious shortages right now. They are dropping quite a few flights out of PDX. Southwest flies...
