Looks like FC Cinn. is going to be announced as the next MLS expansion team. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/soccer/fc-cincinnati/2018/05/24/fc-cincinnati-mls-expansion-don-garber-announcement-nashville-sacramento-detroit-miami/635835002/ I would assume that MLS will eventually push Columbus...
On Twitter, Building St. Louis is saying "HOPE IS STILL ALIVE; More information coming soon" regarding the Spivey Building in East STL. Not overly optimistic, but you never know.
The 1st crane is really prominent when traveling east on 64/40. Becomes quite 'towering' as you pass Hampton. It will be nice when another crane rises over the 100 site. I'd like to see a few more in the Cortex district soon.
Financing for this project is still not secure.. I would say this is 40% chance of happening now. DB, not questioning your sources. Just asking. . . Are you implying that financing should already be in place at this stage? Is that the concern... The fact that this deal is not close to or finalized ...
^While I share your feelings on the NFL, I think Inglewood will be an outlier. This stadium will be the crown jewel of the NFL, home to their offices, a palace for Super Bowls and other huge events. This stadium and Stank's deep pockets are the reason the NFL screwed STL. This stadium is not your ty...
All of this being said, I honestly believe STL is a 3 sport town. We should have NFL or NBA, MLS possibly. When it comes to the BIG 4, we should have 3. That is a fact and all of this 2-sport town narrative is BS IMO. That narrative is a case of the same old-same old STL low self-esteem thing. StanK...
Well, Peabody is back in. STL has 10 Fortune 500 companies in 2018. Not bad.

Guess the NBA is looking to expand in the future .... KC is apparently a favorite, along with Seattle... not STL....

Let’s give a team to the 30th TV market over the 20th

The Lemp along with the Falstaff Brewery have always been high on my list. It would be great to see both historical buildings rehabbed and repurposed. I really hope both have a brewing element to them, if ever redone. Falstaff #10 seems like a no-brainer for a micro-brewery. I understand the remedia...
I was referring to a wishful thinking scenario that would entail STLFC getting the final $60 million to start the MLS venue in the same area near Union Station, over the next 5-10 years. I was not referring to a new venue in Fenton.
As we sit here in the midst of one of the biggest construction booms in recent decades, with the likes of BPV, One, 300 S. Broadway, Cortex (misc.), Centene, amongst others, I wonder what the next round of big developments will be, what areas, what types of projects. Obviously, we know NGA, future B...
I would guess the always busy Aldi had something to do with the closing. Not to mention the pending sale of Shop N Save stores.
Awesome shots!
^Looks great! Thanks for the preview!
http://fox2now.com/2018/05/11/express-scripts-looking-to-sell-its-headquarters/ Even though Express Scripts Is downplaying the situation and saying they’re committed to St. Louis, does anyone have a concern about the sale of their headquarters building? Is this a harvester of things to come down the...
^ The end is very bitter and a tab bit sweet, only because this development will be good for Affton. If only somebody could find a underutilized place to reopen a similar facility and call it Tower Tee. I think the local golf community, especially youth golfers, will suffer. Now golfers will have to...
^Guess there is no full-proof plan, but in this case, a security person with a wand would have kept that gun out of the venue more than likely. In the case that the two individuals had a preexisting beef, I'm sure it would have come to a head somewhere, but it would not have went down as it did INSI...
Security personnel with wands not machines at a place like BPV, would be perfectly appropriate for a big event that draws 400 people. Keep in mind, this was an event, not a typical day for BPV. I would be happy to be checked to avoid something like this ever occurring again. Do I think this is neces...
While I think this highlights the need for metal detectors at BPV,I think people need to take a deep breath on this one. This did not happen after a baseball game, with your run of the mill pre or post-game crowd. This was a private event with up to 400 people crammed into the place. We do not know ...
Anyone know what “event” BPV/Bud Brewhouse was hosting tonight?
Just curious what event it was and if it would have warranted pat-downs or metal detectors. Was this a security oversight...
This falls under the crime thread (I guess) since it involves the typical and very frustrating topic of defacing/tagging. Just wanted to inform everyone of a good experience with MODOT. The Chippewa bridge over River Des Peres had this unsightly gang tagging on the southeast side of the bridge. It w...
^ I saw these rehabs from 44. They are doing a great job! I hope they rehab the few others left on that block. Angers me how these vandals get in vacant buildings, put graffiti all over and destroy them. There are several visible from 44 west after Jefferson. What can the City do about these eyesore...
In the modern era, it has to be StanK Kroenke & the NFL. He is the worst of the worst. Even if you could care less about the Rams, he lied to the people, screwed the fans, trashed St. Louis unnecessarily, knocked Shad Kahn out of contention for buying the Rams, keeping them here and likely investing...
As mentioned previously, there will be two tower cranes. One of which will be up by early May.
